This post is a throwback! Since we started our blog in 2019, we have 8 years of adventures that never got documented. Enjoy this post as we reminisce the fun times we’ve had!
Just over 1 year ago, we went to the Surf Ranch for the first ever WSL Championship Tour contest.
It was absolutely incredible to see the wave in person for the first time. You could feel the excitement of everyone in attendance.

We had so much fun watching the surfers and exploring the grounds.

Shortly after Carissa Moore won for the women, we got asked if we wanted to meet her because they were doing a little meet-and-greet. Of course, we said yes! Next thing you know we are getting led into the VIP area because there was a “mix-up” on the location.

As we were patiently waiting for the crowd around Carissa to die down, she suddenly starting walking over to us! It was then that Carissa presented us with a Golden Ticket, and we were invited to go back to the Surf Ranch with Hurley to surf!

We were in absolute shock, and I (Heather) actually started to cry (so many emotions at once).
To make a long story short, Hurley reserved some days at the Surf Ranch a few weeks after the contest. So some of the staff from Hurley were looking for people in attendance throughout the day to invite to come back.

To this day, it’s still hard to believe that we were selected. It is was a once in a lifetime opportunity and was such a blessing for us!

P.S. Stay tuned for a recap of our VIP day at the Surf Ranch!
