After our 1/2 day adventure exploring around Sedona, we hopped back into the car to escape the incoming storm with a possibility of Snow, and trekked a little over 110+ miles to one of the last big stops on our Arizona adventure, The Grand Canyon.
Driving the long road in the evening was quite tiresome to say the least, probably due to our 1/2 day adventure beforehand. Heather had the extra energy to take the driver seat shortly after being in the clear from the winding roads up from Sedona and took H&HMarriedLife to a dinner spot before entering the park.
We stopped for a pizza dinner at, “We Cook Pizza and Pasta” at the Grand Canyon Village. After dinner was done and capturing a few quick shots for you guys, we drove through the main entrance of the Grand Canyon and proceeded to our lodge for the next few days, The Yavapai Lodge.
If you are looking for a place to stay while you are visiting the Grand Canyon, we highly recommend staying at the Yavapai Lodge West. With their recent renovations, it made everything comfortable and a place to unwind/enjoy/relax after a long day of adventuring.
Grand Canyon was incredible to say the least. The pictures and videos surely don’t do it justice. The magnificent views, fresh air, wildlife, and star-filled skies was sure breathtaking and picturesque. One of the notable adventures that we thoroughly enjoyed was renting bicycles at the Bright Angel Bicycles & Mather Point Cafe located at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center.
The road/pathway are safe, smoothly paved and provided incredible views that will surely bring a smile and awe to your face as you ride past the infamous Grand Canyon.
Grand Canyon sure is a special place that gives you a big appreciation of what it’s like when you opt outside. Social distancing is a must but don’t forget one thing, and that’s to slow down, pause, and soak the beauty in.
