On our last day on the Windward side on Oahu we had to ensure we lived up to the saying, “Live Life to the Fullest.” We packed in as much as we can from sunrise all the way to the sad afternoon moment when we had to bid farewell to our good friend as we prepared for the second leg of our trip and that was a short couple of days in Town.
The sunrise was incredible to say the least. So amazing that we had to pull over to soak it in. If you are in Hawaii, set those alarm clocks and get a glimpse of it. You won’t be disappointed. We promise. As we headed into Kailua, we stopped at the Farmers Market (Details below). A place where you can see the community coming together, supporting one another, genuine Aloha, fresh fruits, pastries, coffee, smoothies, and much much more.
After having a few pastries, and a delicious green smoothie we hopped into the car and continued our adventure.
In addition to the beautiful waters that everyone wants to see “Yes, us to.” One of the Must Do’s is going to the Tantalus Lookout at Puu Ualakaa State Park. While driving up there you will be in awe of the view, the beautiful homes, and the anticipation of what is going to be at the end of the road. Don’t worry it will be worth it. **Sneak peak. An incredible overlook/skyline view of Diamond Head, Honolulu, and you betcha a gorgeous ocean view.
Prior to going to the beach, a Poke stop was a definite must. Tamura’s Fine Wine & Liquors Aikahi located in Kailua (Address below) was on the stop and if you want some fresh poke, definitely give Tamura’s a try.
The beaches are incredible, soak in the beauty of Hawaii, watch the signage at the beaches before entering the water, and most importantly always share the aloha with everyone.
